United Launch Alliance is a 50-50 joint venture owned by Lockheed Martin and The Boeing Company.

The Challenge

Simultaneous upgrade of interfaces and the SAP Upgrade presented control issues with stretched in-house resources and time and cost pressures. In addition, a number of the upgrade team were new members different from those involved in the original implementation.

The Solution: Contract Services

Matrix understood the unique challenges facing the client particularly with client’s acquisition and different upgrades and selection requirements. Matrix Team supported the new team extremely well and helped achieve the overall project objectives in addition
to upgrading the interfaces.

Designed the SAP landscape including High Availability and Disaster Recovery, worked with hardware vendors in finalizing the infrastructure and received approval from Executive management to proceed with the design.

Lead the effort to solidify the transport and client strategy based on a dual-landscape to support phased iterative rollouts. Promoted to position of ERP Architect to direct all ERP related activities and represent the ERP project.

Joined the Operations and Maintenance team to provide knowledge transfer to the support organization and lead the delivery efforts following the initial go-live for subsequent roll out’s.
